Bird TourI am excited to announce that our 'standard 15-day tour', which took place from 15 to 29 April 2024, produced excellent results: we saw no less than 415 species of birds, which is a record for a 15-day tour!
The previous record for this tour was
376 species in 2018, which is also an excellent result, but this tour significantly surpassed it.
Highlights of this tour included the
Zigzag Heron, which we had only heard at a distance on previous tours, as well as birds such as the
Mangrove Rail,
Variegated Antpitta,
Wing-banded Antbird and
Band-tailed Antshrike.
One of the participants, Rick Jacobson, has written a nice report of the trip and has given us permission to publish it on our website. Thank you Rick!

We look forward to seeing you on this tour in the near future. Do you want to challenge this record?
